Dr. Jimmy Vellis was born in Maryland, raised in Virginia, and currently lives in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area with his wife and two infant sons. He attended the University of Virginia on full NROTC scholarship, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Following graduation, he attended Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC and received his doctorate degree. Following graduation from dental school, he moved to the Tampa, FL area and practiced general dentistry for eight years. Dr.
